Chocolate Factory Tour & Guided Tasting
About this class
A hands-on, behind-the-scenes tour of a real working chocolate factory — plus a generous tasting, including a rare taste straight from the melanger.
Step behind the scenes at Bibamba Artisan Chocolate and discover how tropical cacao beans become handcrafted, award-winning chocolate. On this guided experience, you'll explore our working factory, meet chocolate makers, and taste chocolate at nearly every stage of its journey — including a spoonful of freshly refined chocolate straight from the melanger, a rare opportunity most visitors never get.
Along the way, you'll discover:
- How cacao is transformed into chocolate, from farm to table
- What makes bean-to-bar chocolate different
- How ethical sourcing and our family's cacao farm in Cameroon shape every bite of chocolate we make
- What happens inside a real chocolate factory
Your guided tasting features a generous variety of our handcrafted chocolates, and that fresh-from-the-melanger taste few people ever experience.

FAQs
Why is single-origin chocolate more expensive than regular chocolate?
Single-origin implies direct interaction with farmers and more care for the cacao crops. The chocolate maker is thus invested in ethical sourcing of ingredients and this higher quality costs more to produce.
What is single-origin chocolate?
SIngle-origin means that all of the cacao beans used to make the chocolate come from one place rather than a blend of beans from different regions. This translates to more nuanced flavors and appreciation for the farming and processing of the cacao beans.
How is the chocolate shipped?
The chocolate is securely packaged and shipped in cardboard boxes. Ice packs are included in the warmer months.
Where do you ship?
Bibamba ships within the continental US, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
Is dark chocolate good for you?
Dark chocolate is packed with antioxidants and typically has less sugar than milk chocolate. It can boost serotonin levels which can improve one's mood.
