Bibamba Truffle-Making

After reading online about the Bibamba truffle-making class, the combination of educational, interactive, and delicious entertainment appealed to me. I was not disappointed! Who could resist lessons about cultivating, making, and eating chocolate truffles. The owners, Patrick and Mara, of Bibamba are charming, generous, and gracious. Their story is downright inspirational. I never expected to have such a meaningful, positive experience with my 13-year-old nephew. I encouraged everyone in my family to sign up for a special evening. Not only do I want to take their second chocolate tempering class, but I will go early to enjoy dinner and drinks at the food court before heading over to Bibamba; the variety of foods will amaze and delight you. I returned to Bibamba the very next day with my niece to show her where I made the truffles. We bought additional chocolate to hand out as gifts for her friends, but my memories of the class from the night before are the sweetest part of Bibamba.

Wow—thank you so much for your thoughtful review! It was fantastic to have you in class, and we’re thrilled to hear it was such a positive experience for you and your nephew. Fun, delicious, educational, and inspirational—that’s exactly the kind of experience we hope to create! Thank you for sharing our story and our chocolate with others, and for making us part of such sweet family memories. We look forward to seeing you again soon! ❤️

Magical experience

It’s more than just making chocolates, it’s learning about chocolate and the history of chocolate.

Thanks so much, Mike! We’re thrilled you found the experience magical. We’ve got two more classes coming up in June—feel free to tell a friend who’d enjoy it!

Truffle Time!

What a fun class and amazing business! Best chocolate hands down. They let us sample all their different flavor combinations and couldn’t leave without the Mocha Crunch (coffee/dark chocolate), coconut chocolate and plantain chocolate. The truffle making was a great experience and all of our boxes of chocolates looked so beautiful.

Thank you, Crystal—we're so glad you enjoyed our chocolate-making class and took some dark chocolate home to enjoy! Your truffles looked beautiful! Hope to see you again.

When we purchased our farm in Cameroon, our goal was to end child and slave labor, a common practice in the chocolate industry.

FAQs

Single-origin implies direct interaction with farmers and more care for the cacao crops.  The chocolate maker is thus invested in ethical sourcing of ingredients and this higher quality costs more to produce.

SIngle-origin means that all of the cacao beans used to make the chocolate come from one place rather than a blend of beans from different regions.  This translates to more nuanced flavors and appreciation for the farming and processing of the cacao beans.

The chocolate is securely packaged and shipped in cardboard boxes.  Ice packs are included in the warmer months.

Bibamba ships within the continental US, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

Dark chocolate is packed with antioxidants and typically has less sugar than milk chocolate. It can boost serotonin levels which can improve one's mood.
